Riverside NJ Renovation Complete: 6-Inch Seamless Gutters and Oversized 3x4 Downspouts

This Riverside home is officially complete. After a full interior and exterior renovation, we came in for the finishing touch: seamless 6-inch K-style gutters with oversized 3x4 downspouts. Maximum water flow, long-term performance, and a crisp line that takes the curb appeal up a notch.

The Job

When a house gets renovated top to bottom, the gutters are the piece that decides whether all that new work stays protected. This classic two-story twin got the full treatment inside and out, and we wrapped it with a system sized to actually match the roof: 6-inch seamless K-style aluminum, formed on-site, paired with oversized 3x4 downspouts.

The white system reads clean against the fresh siding, and the details carry it: hidden hangers into solid wood, a proper drip edge feeding the trough, and downspout elbows routed tight to the porch and corners so nothing looks tacked on.

Why 6-Inch Plus 3x4 Downspouts

A 6-inch trough holds noticeably more water than the standard 5-inch, but the downspouts are where capacity really gets won or lost. Standard 2x3 downspouts are the bottleneck on most homes. Stepping up to 3x4 roughly doubles the outlet, so heavy rain leaves the gutter as fast as it arrives instead of backing up and going over the edge. Here's our full 5-inch versus 6-inch breakdown.

On a renovation like this one, that pairing means the system isn't just sized for a normal storm. It's sized for the storm that finds the shortcut in everyone else's gutters.

Quality Is in the Details

Look close at the corner shots in the gallery and you'll see what we mean: crisp miters, hangers you'll never see from the ground, the apron tucked so water has one path and it's into the trough. None of that is flashy, and all of it is why the system will still be doing its job quietly years from now.

That's the standard whether it's a shed, a shore house, or a full renovation like this one. Quality is in the details, and this project is proof.

About Working in Riverside

Riverside sits along the Delaware in Burlington County, a classic older river town full of twins and colonials with real bones. Houses here have been standing for generations, which means when one gets a full renovation, the last thing you want is to finish it off with builder-grade gutters that can't keep up with the roof.

This project was a bit of a road trip from our Monmouth County home base, and worth it. For the right job, we'll travel. If you've got a renovation wrapping up anywhere in Central or South Jersey and need the water story finished properly, give us a call or text and we'll talk it through.
