Licensed roofing contractor serving Monmouth, Middlesex, and Ocean County. Full roof installations, replacements, repairs, and storm damage work. Architectural shingles, expert flashing, and a workmanship guarantee. Same trusted local team Central NJ already calls for gutters — now bringing roofing in-house with the same standards.
Most homeowners hire one company for the roof and another for the gutters. Half the time the two crews don't talk to each other, the gutter install gets scheduled three weeks late, and someone's flashing decision creates a leak nobody catches until next spring. It's a mess we've seen up close on hundreds of jobs.
By bringing roofing in-house, we can now coordinate the entire top-of-the-house system on a single timeline — roof, flashing, drip edge, gutters, downspouts, and any fascia or soffit work needed to do it right. One crew, one accountability path, one person who picks up the phone if something goes sideways.
We just wrapped our first full roof installation — a tear-off and replacement using GAF Timberline HD architectural shingles in charcoal gray, with GAF Cobra Snow Country Advanced ridge vent for proper attic ventilation. Below: the materials staged on day one before the crew started.

We don't shortcut. If the existing roof is past its life or has hidden water damage, we strip it back to the deck rather than overlay a problem.
Dimensional asphalt shingles — including GAF Timberline HD — built to handle Central NJ's nor'easters, summer heat, and ice-and-snow cycles. Manufacturer warranty up to lifetime depending on the line.
Modern synthetic underlayment plus full ice-and-water shield in valleys, eaves, and around penetrations — the parts where leaks actually start.
Step flashing on walls, counter flashing where needed, properly integrated chimney and skylight flashing, and pipe boots that won't crack in five years.
GAF Cobra Snow Country Advanced ridge vent with balanced intake — so your attic actually breathes. Saves on energy bills and adds years to the roof.
Materials carry the manufacturer's warranty. Our installation work carries our own workmanship guarantee. We stand behind every roof we install.
The single most underrated decision on a roof project is what happens at the eaves where the roof meets the gutters. Drip edge has to be installed correctly, gutter pitch has to match drainage needs, downspouts need to land in the right spots, and the fascia behind everything needs to be solid. When the same team owns all of those decisions, the system works as a system instead of three vendors handing problems to each other.
If you're getting a new roof, this is also the smartest moment to upgrade to 6-inch seamless gutters and add gutter guards — labor's already on-site, the access is already set up, and you'll never have a better window to do it.
We're a licensed New Jersey home improvement contractor (LIC# 13VH13885700), fully insured for both liability and workers' comp, and bonded. A roof replacement is a big project, but a well-run one shouldn't be stressful. Here's how a typical Gutter Bandits roof installation flows from start to finish — and below, photos from the actual install we just completed.

We start with a thorough on-site inspection — walking the existing roof, checking attic ventilation, identifying any deck damage that's likely lurking under the shingles, and discussing material options with you in plain language. You get a written quote with line-item pricing, not a one-number guess.
On install day, the crew arrives early. We protect landscaping, set up tarps, and stage materials. Tear-off comes first — we strip the old roof down to the deck and inspect every square foot of plywood. If anything is rotted, soft, or compromised, we replace it before anything else goes back on. (We tell you about it before we charge for it.)

Next, drip edge, ice-and-water shield in the critical zones, then synthetic underlayment across the rest of the deck. Shingles go on in proper sequence, flashing gets installed (not caulked over), ridge vents are cut in, and the whole system gets buttoned up. We clean up as we go — a magnetic roller picks up nails, debris is loaded straight onto the truck.
Before we leave, you walk the property with us. We check gutters, downspouts, landscaping, and the driveway. If you also have us doing gutters, those go up the same week so you're not living with a half-finished system.
Tristan and Andy founded Gutter Bandits because they saw too many homeowners getting taken advantage of on roof and exterior work. Adding roofing isn't a pivot — it's the natural next step. Same hands-on owners, same insistence on doing every job like it's their own house, just with a bigger toolbox now. Read about why we approach the work this way.
Not every roofing problem is a full replacement. If your roof is in its first 10-15 years and has localized damage — a few wind-blown shingles, a flashing leak around the chimney, a skylight gasket that's failing, a small section damaged by a fallen tree branch — repair is the right call, and we handle it.
Where the conversation gets honest: a 22-year-old roof with one bad section. We could replace just that section, but those shingles are now off the market or color-shifted, and we're putting a band-aid on something that's going to need full replacement in 2-3 years anyway. We'll tell you straight which scenario you're in. We're not the kind of roofer who insists on a tear-off when a repair will do — and we're not the kind who patches when the whole system is on borrowed time.
What we handle on the repair side: missing or wind-damaged shingles, leaks around vents/chimneys/skylights, flashing failures, ice-and-water shield damage in valleys, ridge cap issues, fascia damage from gutter problems, and storm damage assessment. If you've got a leak you can't track down, we'll find it.
Central NJ gets nor'easters, summer thunderstorms, and the occasional tropical system. Wind damage, hail damage, and tree-impact damage to roofs are regular calls for us. If you've had a storm event recently and you're not sure whether your roof is okay, we'll come out and walk it for free.
If we find damage that's claim-worthy, we document it thoroughly — photos, measurements, written assessment of what needs to happen. We work directly with your insurance adjuster, attend the inspection if you want us there, and handle the project from claim approval through completion. We've handled enough insurance work in Monmouth, Middlesex, and Ocean County to know what adjusters look for, what they'll cover, and how to make sure you're not leaving money on the table.
What we won't do: chase storms, knock on doors after a big weather event, or pressure you into a claim you don't actually need. If your roof's fine, we'll tell you. That's the whole point of having a local roofer you can trust.

It depends on roof size, pitch, material choice, and whether a tear-off is needed. There's no honest one-number answer. Call (908) 242-6056 for a free, no-obligation written estimate with line-item pricing.
Most residential roof installations take 1–3 days depending on size, weather, and complexity. We give you a realistic timeline with the quote, not an optimistic one.
We tear off whenever it's the right call — and that's almost always. Overlays trap moisture, hide problems, and reduce the life of the new roof. We'll tell you honestly which is right for your situation.
Yes. We're a licensed New Jersey home improvement contractor (LIC# 13VH13885700), fully insured for liability and workers' comp, and bonded.
Materials are covered by the manufacturer's warranty (varies by shingle line — typically 25 to lifetime). Our installation work is covered by our own workmanship guarantee. Specifics are spelled out in writing on every quote.
That's the smartest way to do it. Same crew, coordinated timeline, no waiting between trades, and you'll almost always save money versus hiring two companies separately.
