The Job
Browns Mills keeps calling us back, and this trip was for a brand-new build: crisp white siding, black shutters, and a bare roofline waiting for its gutters. We were there for the finishing trade, the last piece that takes a construction site and makes it read like a finished home.
The runs came right off the machine at the truck, seamless white 5-inch K-style formed to the length of each roofline, then hung with clean drops at the corners and 2x3 downspouts to match. Extensions, Because New Foundations Earn Them
The detail that matters most on a new build is the one at the bottom of the downspout. Fresh grading and freshly backfilled foundations have not settled yet, and roof water dumped straight at the wall is how a brand-new basement or crawl space starts its life damp. So every downspout here got an extension, carrying the discharge out and away from the house instead of letting it pool at the foundation.
It is a cheap piece of aluminum and it is doing the most important job on the system. Collect the water high, move it down, release it away from the structure. Same playbook as our Morganville new build, sized for this house.
The Finished Look
White on white with the black shutters doing the contrast work, the gutter line runs quiet and straight under the roof edge, exactly how a new construction should finish. The vented soffit stays clear, the corners are tight, and the whole system disappears into the trim the way white gutters on a white house are supposed to.

Browns Mills is the heart of Pemberton Township in Burlington County, out where Monmouth County gives way to the Pines. It is a longer drive from our Millstone home base than most of our routes, but we keep ending up here, and we are glad to.
